And these things matter most.

This morning at a Board of Directors retreat, we went around the room and offered up the three values or character traits that are most important to us, in our lives today.  What moves us, motivates us, attracts us, defines us.

For now, at least in a professional setting, I chose:

Integrity, dedication and generosity.


These just nudged out grace and faith and keenness / passion, which maybe mean more to me in a personal sense right now.

It was an interesting experience to hear something so personal and intrinsic from people you don’t necessarily know in that way.  A few of my favorites were:  Moral courage, candor, compassion, presence and gratitude.
